Table TalKK

“Table TalKK” is NEW web series that will be taking place during the 2020/2021 school year. This will be a time where our members of the District Council will get a chance to hear from brothers from ALL of the SED Chapters. This series will consist of all our District Council Members, District Governors, and a special guest to moderate the conversations.

This web series will allow our brothers to build a better understanding of different chapters within the district. This will present us with an opportunity to have significant conversations with one another that we usually can’t have. The Southeast District comprises a diverse range of brothers coming from small and large chapters, PWI & HBCU chapters, gender-based chapters, and multicultural chapters. We want to make sure that we start LISTENING and build UNDERSTANDING between one another.

The link to the Google Form can be found at the top of this page. Please fill this out, and then the next step will be to select those brothers from the different chapters and have a general meeting and rundown on how Table Talkk will flow. They will then have the opportunity to analyze each question that’s presented. Once this meeting has taken place we will then move forward with the actual show. Basically this will look like a panel discussion, but a little more relaxed.

Questions can be based on the following, including but not limited to:

  • Leadership

  • Musicianship

  • Brotherhood

  • Race

  • Diversity

  • Fellowship

  • Large Chapters/Small Chapters

Table TalKK will take place on Sunday evening’s starting with the first episode on September 13th, 2020, with subsequent episodes following a tentative schedule:

  • September 27th, 2020

  • October 11th, 2020

  • October 25th, 2020

  • November 8th, 2020

  • November 22nd, 2020

All these dates are subject to change depending on the state of operations for our Universities/Colleges. If we are not fortunate enough to have all chapters participate in the fall we will pick up in January and finish before the start of SEDC. This web series could be the start of new foundations within our district. These conversations are not here to create problems but break barriers between our chapters. The students of today want to have these conversations to create better opportunities for one another. Table TalKK will help guide these conversations and give us as students a better understanding of each chapter. “You never change your life until you step out of your comfort zone; change begins at the end of your comfort zone.” So it’s time for us to step out of our comfort zone so that we can have a better understanding of our fellow brothers.
